The POLE POLE FOUNDATION “POPOF” is an NGO created by locals and those who work in and around the Kahuzi-Biega National Park.
“Pole Pole” is Swahili for “slowly slowly”. Fundamental change is a gradual thing, best achieved by working together, making steady progress, and reaching our ultimate goals together.
POPOF was created on September 24th, 1992 in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and officially registered in 1997.
